A friend of mine last spring got me into remote control cars and trucks. I first bought an HPI nitro powered drift car. The thing was off the wall fast but off the wall expensive to maintain if you don’t know how to properly maintain the vehicle and/or remote control, wand, glow plugs, servo, etc… Well I must say I was actually pretty good from the beginning and didn’t necessarily tear the cars up but my kids and couple of friend’s smacked, flipped and broke apart a few of my rc cars. That is where Branford Hobbies comes into the picture.

Since that first car I have bought 3 Traxxas Revos, an XTM car and now 2 more drift cars, 1 HPI and the other AE, all nitro-powered. It was easy to get the cars and trucks themselves but as I mentioned we had to maintain them. The same friend brought me to Branford Hobbies of Branford Connecticut. I think the guys name is Mark I initially dealt with and the few other guys I talked to were super knowledgeable, friendly, courteous and extremely patient with a guy like me that was learning on the fly. Their store carries everything RC as well as the cars and trucks I was into. They have plenty of nitro and electric powered cars, trucks, planes, helicopters for novices to experts, model trains and while visiting their shop you can check out an awesome collection of war memorabilia that cover the shelves running up the walls as well as the 2nd floor. Whatever I needed was available for the most part, if not they would special order whatever I needed.
